Job Overview

We are looking for an junior-level Auto Mechanic to join our team at Autoworks of Valdese. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of automotive systems, strong problem solving ability, a strong work ethic, be able to work well in a team environment, and is looking to become a career automotive technician. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair various automotive systems under limited supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

• Commitment to integrity and ethical work practices.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in the automotive field.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Own or willing to purchase basic tools for auto repair.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must gain ASE certifications within 2 years of employment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant automotive certifications and/or training.
• Experience in an automotive repair shop.
